Event information

Here is everything you need to know ahead of your event day. You will be sent participant notes relating to your specific event one week out from the event day. The participant notes will include specific information on event parking, course information and any details that relate directly to your event location. trail event, trail walk, trail run, trails, trail running trail walking

Event Schedule

7:00am: Event check in opens

8:30am: Event check in closes

8:45am: Participant briefing at start line

9:00am-9:25am: Event start

Please seed yourself accordingly at the start line. We will do wave starts every 3 minutes in this order:

  1. Long Course runners (9.00am / 9.03am)
  2. Mid Course runners (9.06am / 9.09am)
  3. Short Course runners (9.12am / 9.15am)
  4. Long Course walkers (9.18am)
  5. Mid Course walkers (9.21am)
  6. Short Course walkers (9.24am)

If you would like to do your event check in and receive your timing chip on the Friday (day before event), you can do so by coming to the event venue between 2pm and 4pm.

Upon check in you will be issued with a wristband, associated with your distance:

Long Course = Pink Wristband

Mid Course = Blue Wristband

Short Course = Yellow Wristband

Pit Stops

On each course, there are a number of pitstops to keep you fuelled and hydrated on your walk or run. Please check your participant notes the week of the event to see which of these pit stops are on your course. Each course has a minimum of two pit stops for the short course, and three for the long course.

 

On Course Pitstops stops include:

Cookie Time Pitstop: Cookie Time Cookies and water

Haribo pitstop: Haribo gummy lollies and water

Jaffas Pit Stop: Jaffas and water

Ems Power Cookies: Apricot or Cranberry Power Bites and water

Please note that this is a cup less event. Please come with your own cup or vessel.

 

Post event event village refreshments include:

Premier Beehive BBQ: Premier Beehive Sausages + bread & Tomato Sauce

Alchemy & Tonic Soda Bar: Four delicious soda’s made in NZ and ice cold

realCOCO Coconut water stand: Still or sparkling coconut water

Participant Check in

On event morning, you will need to allow time to check in for the event. This requires you to head to the registration tent from 7:00 – 8:30am on to collect your timing chip and confirm you have arrived at the event.

Please allow extra time in case of queues

Event Changes

You can change your distance and entry anytime before entries close two days prior to the event or on race morning during the registration. You will be required to pay the price increase to upgrade your distance and there are no refunds to move down a distance.

On the day entries

If you missed online entries, on the day entries are available in the event village from 7:00 – 8:30am if not sold out prior. Just head to the Registration Tent in the event village. There will be eftpos and cash available.

Results / Timing

You will receive a timing chip when you check in for the event which will time your trail run or walk.

To check your results post event, please head to the results tab after the event.

The team is often busy packing down the event straight after the event and results will be posted as soon as they can.

The timing chips must be returned post event. Failure to do so will result in a $50 charge to replace this.

Medals

All finishers of the event will receive a medal to celebrate your efforts.

Health and Safety

There will be a full safety briefing at the start line before you start your walk or run

Knowing the course is your responsibility, please double check the course map – there will be printed version for you at the info tent if you would like to take a map with you. There will be plenty of marshals and signage on the course.

Please listen to and obey any instructions given by Race Officials and Marshals
