After 54 years of marriage and a lifetime of adventure – including walking the Camino de Santiago, Gay and Alan have found something new to love: volunteering and walking together at the Aramex Kiwi Walk & Run Series.

The Aramex Kiwi Walk & Run Series will be sponsoring Shal’s next big adventure: a bold, unsupported mission to summit four Himalayan peaks in Nepal in one season. Four mountains, alpine style, no support crew, just two local lads with serious determination and a camera packed alongside the climbing gear.

From Tauranga to Tūrangi and everywhere in between. Angela Durham and friend, Liz Reed, set out to complete all nine events in the 2025 Aramex Kiwi Walk & Run Series, and they’re doing just that, one epic trail at a time.
