Course overview: Tucked alongside the Hutt River and winding its way through the heart of Upper Hutt, this trail offers a beautiful mix of riverside serenity and lush greenery. The course follows the river’s edge, weaving past native bush, open parkland, and peaceful swimming spots, with the crystal-clear water never far from view. Keep an eye out for local birdlife as you cross small bridges and enjoy the changing scenery, from shaded forested sections to wide open spaces framed by the surrounding hills. Easily accessible yet rich in natural beauty, this trail is a favourite for both locals and visitors seeking a refreshing riverside escape.

 

Suitable for: Great for first timers being a flat easy course. Also fantastic for experienced runners looking for a new PR, this course is FLAT and hard packed, making for a quick and fun day!
