Course overview: Love wine? Starting and finishing at the iconic Black Barn, this 14.5 km circular route takes you through the beautiful rolling landscapes surrounding Havelock North. The course winds along mixed terrain — a combination of gravel paths, vineyard trails and quiet rural roads — with a few steady climbs and rewarding descents offering panoramic views of the Hawke’s Bay countryside. It’s a varied and scenic route that perfectly blends vineyard charm with countryside adventure.
Suitable for: Intermediate runners, keen walkers, and anyone who enjoys a mix of trail and rural road with gentle elevation.
Track condition: Approximately 70% gravel and trail, 30% sealed road.
